The third volume in the Annabel series, and like volume two the stories in this collection are almost all from Sports Afield. There is only one story from Hunting Yearbook. Annabel is without a doubt the greatest Alaskan writer of hunting stories there ever was. As in previous volumes, this book is filled with plenty of hair-raising adventures with bear, moose, wolf, and sheep; it also includes his Mexican hunting tales. "Grudge Grizzly," "Death of a King Wolf," "The Curse of the Chonchos," "The Shootingest Characters," and "The Gotch-eared Bull of Toonakloot."
